who will guide you?

Kristen Formaini

Yoga has been a constant practice for me since 2006. The physical movement quickly captured my attention, but I noticed that the breathwork offered mental and emotional awareness I had not experienced before. I began teaching in 2017, completing a second 200-hour training in 2019 and currently pursuing a 800-hour yoga therapy certification. I enjoy sharing the tools of yoga with anyone curious about finding balance and peace within.
I love teaching groups and individuals. My classes offer intuitive movement, mindful breathing and music to help students find a natural rhythm within their body. You may be invited to try new breathing methods and simple meditations during class. Yoga therapy sessions use yoga and somatic tools to move past physical, mental and emotional challenges causing disruption to daily life and disconnecting the mind and body. Movement will be customized to client goals and ability.
Being mindful about the relationship I have with myself, my husband and my kiddos is my most important practice. I love relaxing at home, watching my son play soccer and walking outside whenever time allows.

Lexi Jones

While dabbling in yoga here and there over the years for a workout, Lexi really found it as an outlet in 2020 when she was looking for something to fill her cup after losing herself a bit to motherhood. Falling in love with the mental aspect, she began to practice as much as she could through various online classes while the world shut down. Finally getting into studios regularly in 2021, she realized this was where she belonged and wanted to share her journey with anyone who would listen. A graduate of School House Yoga’s 200 hour YTT and certified in the Cosmic Kids 25 hour continuing education, she now teaches locally multiple times a week, plus hosting retreats a couple of times a year! Off the mat you can find her with her nose in a book, checking out a local coffee shop, brunching with friends, or enjoying a quiet day with her family.
With Lexi's classes you can expect a more gentle version of a vinyasa, perfect for all levels including beginners. We will focus on connecting the breath and body, finding a meditative flow throughout class with easy beats and acoustics for the music.

Maddie Wells

I originally started practicing at a yoga studio for the physicality aspect and then quickly fell in love with the benefits it brought to my mind. My yoga journey has been a transformative one, not just in terms of my physicality but also in my overall well-being. The more time I spent practicing yoga, the more I realized its profound impact on my mental and emotional states.
I became an instructor because I wanted to share the benefits of yoga with the community. I believe yoga is for everyone. I love to teach a heated power flow. In my class, you can expect to build strength, endurance, and flexibility. Throughout the class, I'll emphasize the importance of breath and mindfulness. You'll learn to sync your breath with your movements, helping you stay present and focus. I love customizing a playlist for my yogi's to enjoy!
Off of the yoga mat, you can find me teaching 4th graders and spending time with my family. I enjoy reading(especially by the beach) and a good coffee!

Maria Urso

Hi! I am Maria.

Yoga teacher first. Student always :)

My purpose in life is to put my energy into things that matter. Love. Harmony. Peace. Connection. As someone who never felt physically fit to be a yoga instructor, I finally took on the responsibility and did it my way; mindful, truthful, authentic and starting with the breath. I am a RYT 200 with a focus in power yoga.

My passion is to lead our local community with intention, heart, and integrity by teaching the healing powers of yoga through asana, pryanama, and meditation.

I can’t wait to meet you on our mats!

THINGS I ENJOY OFF THE MAT:
Macraming, bread baking, hiking with my fiancé and fur baby, listening to music, finding new food joints and bakeries to try, spending time with my friends and family.

Liz Evans

I began practicing yoga in high school in the days of at-home DVDs in my grandparents' basement and have never stopped. My yoga journey has been constantly unfolding as my relationship with the practice and with myself has naturally changed over time. The practice has always met me wherever I am on my journey.

Over time, I've developed a love for power vinyasa yoga yet I also enjoy experiencing as many different types of yoga as I possibly can in this lifetime. The style of yoga I regularly practice and the one I also teach brings me to my mat every time with a new awareness and appreciation for my body and mind. In my classes, you will cultivate connection with the physical body and begin to notice the physical sensations allowing you to open up the mind.

Outside of teaching and practicing yoga, I love spending time with my seven-year-old self-driven daughter, cats and family and friends. In my professional life, I work in marketing at a tech company headquartered in Pittsburgh. I completed my 200 hour teacher training at Be Yoga in Oakmont, Pa.

Tess Wolf

HELLO!  I’m Tess Wolf and I feel blessed to be at Numa Yoga with you!
I was gratefully introduced to yoga in 2006 while teaching 7th grade “gifted” students, raising three beautiful busy daughters, and trying to stay authentic to myself despite the stress of a busy life.  Yoga was a Godsend then, and it has continued to guide me in staying healthy in body, mind, and spirit these last 18 years of practice!
After retiring from my public-school teaching career, I knew I wanted to share my love of yoga with others.  In 2021, I became RYT-200 certified through “Breathe for Change,” San Franciso, CA where I also became certified as a Social-Emotional Learning Facilitator.   Over the past few years, I have been teaching community classes, private clients, at yoga events, and at some gym facilities in the area.   Just recently, I completed a 50-hour continuing education course from the “Institute of Yoga Sports Science.”  It has opened my eyes to new ways of sequencing a flow from the “bottom up” to maximize safe and healthy use of our muscles, tendons, and bones.
In my classes, I like to suggest a variety of options for yogis so that they can make asanas fit their bodies best.  To add to the joy of practice, I use a mix of older and more modern music, some with lyrics and some, perhaps, with just the sounds of nature.  I enjoy teaching all levels of students and a variety of class types: heated power flow, a slower restorative flow, and beginners.   As a teacher, my greatest joy in life has always been meeting & getting to know a beautiful assortment of people, from the squirrelly 7th grader to the 70-year old learning the benefits of yoga for the first time. I welcome the opportunity to meet you!
When I’m not teaching or practicing yoga, I enjoy outings with my husband, hiking with my crazy Golden Retriever, finding ways to spend time with my three precious adult daughters & friends, cooking, reading, or just enjoying the birds in my backyard. (All the while reminding myself to “Just breathe; it’s all good!”)
